Indian Navy Major Action In Arabian Sea: Marco Commando Caught 940 KG Of Drugs Under Crimson Barracuda

The Indian Navy took major action in the Western Arabian Sea on Tuesday. Navy has seized a huge consignment of drugs (940 kg of synthetic drugs). It is being told that for the first time, the Indian Navy, as a member of the Combined Maritime Force (CMF), has made such a big recovery. Commander CTF 150, Captain Kalin Mathews of the Royal Canadian Navy has complimented the crew of INS Talwar of the Indian Navy.

Indian Navy joined the CMF in November 2023

It is noteworthy that the Indian Navy had joined the Combined Maritime Force in November 2023 itself, in which there is a naval partnership of 42 countries. The purpose of formation of this special force is to maintain the international rules-based order by promoting security and stability at sea. This is the first time that the Indian Navy, as a member of the Combined Maritime Force (CMF), has recovered drugs, the Navy said on Tuesday. These include 453 kg of methamphetamine, 416 kg of hashish and 71 kg of heroin.

Navy spokesperson said

In this regard, a Navy spokesperson said that the Marco Commandos of the Indian Navy, deployed on the Indian Navy ship INS Talwar, deployed in the Western Arabian Sea for maritime security operations, on April 13, during sea patrolling under the ‘Crimson Barracuda’ operation, attacked ‘Dhow’. ‘Seized 940 kg of drugs from the (special boat). The drugs were disposed of as per standard operating procedure.

Royal Canadian Navy Commander praised

Meanwhile, Captain Kalin Mathews, Royal Canadian Navy, Commander, CTF 150, said, ‘I commend the crew of INS Talwar for their efforts during this operation and their hard work resulted in the successful seizure of 940 kg of drugs. The Crimson Barracuda campaign concluded on 15 April. Its objective was to stop sea smuggling by terrorist and criminal organizations in the Western Indian Ocean region.
