Praising the global peace efforts of Acharya Lokesh Muni, the US President wrote that by giving your time, you are helping to find solutions to the challenges facing us. We need them more than ever.
The noteworthy aspect is that Acharya Lokesh Muni is the first Indian monk to be honored with the US Presidential Award. He was given the President’s Award, Golden Shield, Certificate of Honor and a citation signed by President Biden.
After receiving the award, Jain Acharya said that this award has increased more responsibility. This honor is a tribute to Indian culture, spiritual values, Jain principles of Lord Mahavir. Expressing gratitude to Biden, Lokesh Muni expressed hope that India and America will continue to work together for the upliftment of mankind.
