Kashmir Issue: US Clearly Refuses To Mediate Between India and Pakistan

Washington: America has given a big blow to Pakistan regarding Kashmir. America has clearly refused to come between India and Pakistan regarding Kashmir, which is a big blow for Pakistan, because it was continuously trying to make America play the role of mediator between India and Pakistan, whereas India rejects any third party interference.

United States State Department spokesman Matthew Miller has said that Washington would welcome “productive and peaceful talks” between India and Pakistan on Kashmir, but asked what the pace, scope, and scope of any talks would be. What will be the basis is a matter to be decided between India and Pakistan.

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said this while replying to a question on Wednesday on Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulating Pakistan’s newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on taking oath of office for his second term.

“We, of course, welcome the Prime Minister’s statement,” Miller said. The United States values our relations with both India and Pakistan and we want to see productive and peaceful relations between them. In response to another question, Miller welcomed meaningful and peaceful talks between India and Pakistan, but also made it clear that the pace, scope and character of any talks have to be decided by India and Pakistan.
