World’s Largest Quran Inlaid With Gold And Silver; 2 People Turn The Page Together

Jaipur: During Ramzan, Jaipur’s Ravindra Manch becomes a confluence of Ganga-Jamuni culture. Here, the Holy Quran Majeed has been brought for exhibition in the color festival organized on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee. It is being claimed that this is the largest Quran Sharif in the world. Maulana Jamil Ahmed of Tonk district, who created this Holy Quran, claims that this is the largest Quran in the world. On the special occasion of Ramzan, this Quran Sharif has been brought to Ravindra Manch from Tonk. Where a large number of people are coming to see it. Rajasthan’s Deputy CM and former Jaipur royal family member Diya Kumari also came to see this Quran Sharif.

The construction of the unique Quran Majeed started in the year 2022 and was completed in two years. This Quran Sharif, weighing two and a half quintals and measuring ten and a half feet, may soon be included in the Guinness World Book records. Crowds of people are gathering at Ravindra Manch to see this holy book.

Maulana Jameel Ahmed claims that this is the world’s largest and heaviest hand-written Quran. Its design is also not made by computer but by hand. The papers are also handmade, made in Sanganer. The writer of this is Ghulam Ahmed of Tonk. In preparing this Quran Majeed, Maulana Jameel’s daughters along with their brothers and uncles have written and decorated it.

2 people turn pages together

It takes two to three people to turn one page of the Quran Majeed brought for the Rang Utsav. Actually, this is not an ordinary Quran Sharif, rather it is being said to be the world’s largest Quran Sharif. Its weight is two and a half quintals. The length of Quran Majeed is 125 inches and width is 90 inches. It is about 10.5 feet high and after opening it is 17 feet long. It takes two people to turn or open a page of Quran Sharif. Six people are required to open its book.

Use of silver corner and golden plate

Regarding the specialty of this Quran Majeed, Maulana Jamil Ahmed told that every line of this Holy Quran starts with the Arabic letter Alif i.e. word, hence it is also called Alfi Quran Kareem. There are 41 lines in each page of this Quran Sharif. The binding has silver corners and golden plates. Brass hinges have been used for opening and closing.
