New Delhi/Kolkata: West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee government has received a big blow from the Supreme Court in the Sandeshkhali and Sheikh Shahjahan case. On the other hand Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also targeted it. Along with this, from the platform of Nari Shakti Vandan Abhinandan rally in Barasat of North 24 Parganas district, the Prime Minister has said that Trinamool Congress has committed a grave sin. This would make anyone bow down and despite this, Mamata’s government is busy protecting the criminals.

Know the issue

It is noteworthy that on January 5, the Enforcement Directorate team had reached the premises of jailed Trinamool Congress leader Shahjahan Sheikh for sexually harassing women and land grabbing. During this, a crowd of around 800 to 1000 attacked the ED team. In this case, on Tuesday, the Calcutta High Court had ordered to hand over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The West Bengal government approached the Supreme Court against this. If Mamata government is to be believed, SIT is investigating this matter seriously. In such a situation, it would be absolutely wrong to give it to CBI. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court refused to hear the matter immediately.
