Cargo Ship Collides With Baltimore’s Longest Key Bridge; Watch Video How The Bridge Fell Into The Water

Baltimore’s longest Francis Scott Bridge collapsed into the water after being struck by a large cargo ship Tuesday early morning. According to reports, the bridge caught fire before it collapsed and several vehicles fell into the water below. About seven construction workers and three to four civilian vehicles were present on the bridge when it collapsed. There are reports of large-scale casualties.

The accident happened on Monday night at around 1.30 am. In this regard, the Fire Department of Baltimore said that a huge cargo ship collided with the bridge about 3 kilometers on Tuesday. After this the bridge collapsed into water along with the vehicles passing over it. Rescue work started immediately. It is being told that at least 7 people and dozens of cars have fallen into the river due to which there is a possibility of a large number of casualties. With this, the video of this incident has now gone viral on social media.

Maryland’s Transportation Authority has appealed to drivers to take another route and not proceed in that direction. Not only this, the river path has been blocked from both sides and the traffic has been diverted to the other side. On the other hand, Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott said that a cargo ship was leaving from Baltimore. Right now the entire focus of the administration is on relief work.
