The incident took place in Banbung district of Chonburi province of Thailand. According to the information received, on February 27, a 49-year-old local resident of Thai was vandalizing the main hall of the temple. At the same time, a sharp part of the idol of Lord Buddha suddenly passed through his head and chest, due to which he died on the spot.
According to the report of The Thaiger, the police also reached the spot on information, but due to concerns that he might have weapons, they were forced to stay outside the temple. But soon an unsettling silence forced them to go inside the temple. When the police went inside the temple, they were shocked to see the dead body of a person soaked in blood. There was a deep hole in his chest because of the statue of Buddha. Investigation revealed that he was trying to break the tallest Buddha statue by climbing on it, when the sharp part of the statue passed through him, piercing his chest.
