Taliban Decree: Women Will Be Whipped In Public Once Again, Stoned To Death

Strict restrictions have been imposed on women by the Taliban since they regained power in Afghanistan. Once again the cruel decree has been issued by the Taliban regarding women. Hibatullah Akhundzada has announced that we will soon implement punishment for adultery. We will flog the women publicly and stone them to death in public.

It is noteworthy that in 2021, Taliban had captured power in Afghanistan. Since then, strict steps have been taken against women. According to a UN report, 175 people have been sentenced under strict rules in May 2023. Of these, 37 people were given the punishment of stoning. However, it is not clear how many of those sentenced were women. Now once again the Taliban has issued an order to publicly flog women and kill them by stoning them.

In a message broadcast on state TV regarding the question of repression of women’s rights under Taliban rule, Taliban chief Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada said that when we stone women to death, you call it against democracy, but despite this we do so.
