Flying Squad Arrested Three Men; Accused Were Carrying Anonymous Cash Worth Rs 3.90 Crore In The Train

A major action has come to light from Tamil Nadu on Sunday amid restrictions of the Model Code of Conduct imposed for the Lok Sabha elections. Flying Squad today arrested three people with huge amount of anonymous cash. Official sources said that the accused were traveling in a train with cash worth Rs 3 crore 90 lakh, so that no one could doubt. Acting on the secret information, the team of police and election officials finally arrested them.

A senior police officer said that three people had boarded the train from Egmore to Tirunelveli. Acting on a tip-off about carrying cash, on the basis of suspicion, the flying squad of the police department and the election department stopped them in nearby Tambaram and searched them and Rs 3 crore 90 lakh were found in their possession. When they were asked for documents regarding this cash, they were not able to present any such valid document.

According to police sources, the three arrested people are suspected to be supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Tirunelveli Lok Sabha candidate Nainar Nagendran. Due to this, he has been detained for questioning. On the other hand, it is learned that in this regard, the state’s ruling party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has raised the matter with the CEO and demanded action against BJP leader Nagendran. After this, the case of seizure of Rs 4 crore at Tambaram Railway Station by the CEO office has been sent to the Income Tax Department for further investigation.
