Largest Muslim Country Indonesia Doing So To Save The Environment; Became Taking Point Of The World

Jakarta : In Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, a campaign to save the earth is being run in the name of faith and belief, which is being discussed all over the world. Efforts to stop climate change and reduce the risk of global warming in Indonesia are also bearing fruit. According to local media, Imams, Maulanas and Muslim scholars of mosques are giving the message of saving nature.

Let us tell you that India’s contribution in saving the environment is incomparable. Trees, plants and rivers have been worshiped for ages. Rivers have been given the status of mother here. It is said that ‘God resides in Peepal’. Banyan tree is worshiped during the fast of ‘Vat Savitri’ puja. ‘Mata Lakshmi likes lotus flower’. ‘We should plant trees, not cut them’. ‘Rivers should be kept clean’. The world has seen commendable results of things like these being linked to religious beliefs. Now its effect can also be seen in Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. In the name of faith and trust, a wonderful campaign is being run to save the earth. The sermons of the imam of Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque focus on saving nature. When garbage accumulated in the river on the banks of which this mosque is located, he ordered people to clean it. To control rising electricity bills, he has installed solar panels in South-East Asia’s largest mosque. They have installed slow flow taps throughout the premises. Work has also been done to recycle water. Due to his campaign to save the earth, this mosque has been discussed even in the World Bank.

Imam Saheb is not alone

On the other hand, it is also noteworthy that Imam Saheb is not alone in trying to awaken the environment through Islam in the Islamic country Indonesia. Many Maulanas have issued fatwas to enforce measures to prevent climate change. Imam Nasruddin Omar, who is running a large-scale environmental protection campaign, says that the more greedy we are towards nature, the sooner the day of doomsday will come. Like fasting during Ramzan, it is the duty of every Muslim. Zakat (giving charity) is necessary. Similarly, one should work to become a protector of the earth. It is a noble thing to help those who are doing this financially. Along with promoting campaigns like renewable energy, we should have a good habit of planting trees, just like our daily prayers.
